Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy

The Pressform Group of Companies has an integrated approach to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment by facilitating performance improvement and growth. We aim to achieve this by creating a culture where safety thinking becomes an inherent part of our company, where workers can contribute to continual improvements and better safety.

We are committed to taking all practicable steps to ensure that management and staff undertake appropriate actions to ensure workers' safety, including contractors and visitors in the workplace. We are focused on managing and overseeing quality improvements and identifying the environmental impact of our principal manufacturing processes, products and related services. We will take all practicable steps to:

  • Provide and maintain for workers a safe working environment through hazard identification and management, utilising specialist advice, codes of practice, legislation and guidelines;
  • Provide and maintain for workers safe equipment, practices and procedures while they are in the workplace;
  • Provide workers with all training, information and supervision required to ensure they are aware of the safety requirements of their jobs;
  • Ensure that equipment used by any worker at work is arranged, designed, made and maintained so that it is safe for the worker to use;
  • Ensure that while at work, workers are not exposed to hazards arising out of the placement of equipment and disposal of waste products;
  • Support the ongoing training and assessment of workers;
  • Develop procedures for dealing with emergencies that may arise while workers are at work; and
  • Ensure that all accidents and health issues are reported, investigated and referred to the Safety Officer as practicable.

We recognise that health and safety is not one person's responsibility. All workers and management actively participate in the continuous improvement, development and management of health and safety in the workplace. We expect that all employees:

  • Ensure that their actions do not cause harm to themselves or other persons through skylarking, failure to follow procedures, failure to report hazards, failure to act safely and responsibly, failure to use PPE etc.;
  • Actively participate in the identification, review and development of health and safety management strategies;
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported immediately or within 24 hours and the health and safety information is accurately reported and recorded;
  • Identify and report any hazards which may cause injury or harm and, where possible, do something about the danger immediately;
  • Follow all procedures established to ensure the safety of all workers, contractors and visitors;
  • To ensure careful use of material resources to decrease waste to a minimum ad reduce pollution.
